Labor Day

Our last hurrah for the summer was a trip 15 minutes out of town. It doesn't seem like much but the kids will tell you different. They get to scratch up some dirt on the dune buggy. I was about 105 in the shade that day, but that didn't stop us from having a rip roaring time. You should see Sam drive that thing! He has to hang on to the steering wheel because if he sits back he can't reach the gas pedal. He drives like a maniac!...I am not sure where he gets it from. While two people go for a ride, two other can shoot the BB gun. The rest of us rest in the shade of the umbrella (until the wind whips it inside out)and have a great time eating sunflower seeds or doing creative things with pretzels. This time we cooled off with a "slurpee". Just call us the Dirt Devils!
